Position or Project Description
"Qiu lab is seeking two highly motivated undergraduate students to participate in research projects focusing on regulation of lipid metabolism and interorgan crosstalk during diet-induced obesity and steatotic liver disease. The candidate is responsible for performing:
1) genotyping PCR including genomic DNA extraction, PCR reaction preparation, PCR program running, agarose DNA gel preparation, sample loading and imaging;
2) RNA extraction from mouse liver and adipose tissue using Trizol method, RNA concentration measurement;
3) Western Blotting gel and general buffer (PBS, SDS running buffer, transfer buffer and TAE buffer) preparation. "
